UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center will continue its normal webinar series this month, with principles of financial literacy on July 12 and money and relationships on July 26.

In addition, a special webinar is slated for 3:30 p.m. on July 14 to cover the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program’s limited waiver that is expected to expire on Oct. 31. Because Penn State is designated as a public employer under PSLF, many Penn State employees may qualify for loan forgiveness, even if they have been denied in the past. The noon webinar on July 12 on the 10 principles of financial literacy will cover topics such as how earning money is the start of financial independence; saving and investing; pros and cons of borrowing; how to assess spending habits; and how to protect your financial well-being.

The noon webinar covering money and relationships on July 26 will help attendees determine their own relationship with money; how to discuss money matters honestly and openly; the deal makers and breakers in relationships; money secrets and financial infidelity; and tips to preserve money and relationships.

A list of webinar series open to the public, including Zoom links, can be found at financialliteracy.psu.edu.

Self-study modules for all regularly scheduled webinars are available here from “MoneyCounts: A Penn State Financial Literacy Series.”
