UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center will hold two public webinars in November, with “Debt Management” at noon Nov. 5 and “Financial Decluttering at noon Nov. 19.
The “Debt Management” webinar can help attendees to take charge of their debt situation for a brighter financial future. For successful debt management, the first step is recognizing the symptoms of being in debt and what commitments one can make to reach a financially secure future. This webinar will cover budgeting, debt repayment strategies, other options to get rid of debt and navigating student loan debt specifically. Different ways to get rid of debt including consolidation, negotiation, repayment plans, settlement and bankruptcy will be explored.
The “Financial Decluttering” webinar will help attendees recognize what sorts of financial clutter they have and how to get their “docs” in a row. This webinar will cover how to organize financial paperwork, what’s worth keeping or throwing away, and streamlining financial accounts, all with the goal of keeping money management neat and tidy.
A list of webinars open to the public, including the series’ Zoom registration link, can be found at the program's website.
