WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Foley Inc., a Cat equipment dealer serving New Jersey; southeast Pennsylvania; Staten Island, New York; and northern Delaware, has enhanced and expanded its partnership with Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Foley, a Corporate Tomorrow Maker, has partnered with Penn College for 20 years in association with the heavy construction equipment technology: Caterpillar equipment emphasis and heavy equipment technology programs. The company is recognized as a Visionary Society member ($100,000-$499,999) on the college’s Donor Wall.

For the enhanced partnership, Foley will commit $250,000 in charitable giving to Penn College’s heavy construction equipment technology: technician emphasis and heavy construction equipment technology: Caterpillar equipment emphasis programs; as well as the electric power generation technology: diesel emphasis program. This five-year commitment will facilitate the purchase of much-needed supplies and equipment benefiting instruction.

Recognition from Penn College includes permanently naming the hydraulics lab in the Schneebeli Earth Science Center the “Foley Hydraulics Lab.” This lab is the primary location for hydraulics and heavy equipment operations engines courses. The Foley Hydraulics Lab will have an annual day to promote the many careers available at Foley Inc. The company has a need for at least 60 technicians annually to sustain the growth it is currently experiencing.

Company branding will be provided in the customer service area and on the garage door in the lab, and a press and networking event showcasing the branding will be held in the fall.

Foley will also be a competition-level sponsor at the college’s diesel technology event, held annually in December, for the next five years.

“We are so grateful for Foley and this transformational gift to the heavy equipment and electric power generation programs,” said Elizabeth A. Biddle, senior corporate relations director for the college. “Foley values the hands-on education we offer and seeks to support Penn College students becoming technicians with global opportunities at Cat dealers. We look forward to recognizing this contribution through branding in perpetuity in the Foley Hydraulics Lab at the Schneebeli Earth Science Center.”

“Foley is pleased to partner more strongly with Penn College and to have our brand showcased at the Earth Science Center,” said Jamie Foley, chief executive officer. “Career pathways at Foley offer amazing opportunities, and graduates with the skills acquired in Penn College’s associate degrees are just what we are looking for. With over 60 technician openings each year, we need employees who can hit the ground running with the foundational skills to succeed. We find this with Penn College students, interns and graduates, and we are thankful to be a Corporate Tomorrow Maker and strong partner with Penn College.”
