Instructor named to YWCA Northcentral PA Board of Directors

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Jennifer R. Wahl, instructor of social sciences at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been named to the YWCA Northcentral PA Board of Directors.

“The YWCA is honored to be governed by a board comprised of unique perspectives, adding a wealth of experience to our organization,” said Brittany Fischer, YWCA Northcentral PA’s communications and development director. “Our board members are passionate about making a positive impact in our community and have a deep commitment to our mission. We are grateful for their unwavering dedication and countless hours of service. Together, we are working toward a brighter future for our community.”

Wahl has engaged with YWCA Northcentral PA in a variety of ways, including presenting a workshop at its 2023 Women’s Empowerment Conference and delivering the keynote address at its 2022 Women of Excellence Celebration.

At Penn College, Wahl teaches world history, psychology and sociology courses. She previously worked as a secondary education teacher in the Loyalsock Township School District and was named Pennsylvania State Teacher of the Year in 2018.

Wahl earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from Penn State and a bachelor’s degree in history from Cabrini University.
