Penn College civil engineering student receives scholarship

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – A Pennsylvania College of Technology sophomore is one of nine undergraduates statewide to receive a scholarship from the Pennsylvania Land Surveyors’ Foundation.

Ethan A. Hillenbrand, of Harrisburg, earned a $2,000 scholarship, awarded by the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors at its conference in Hershey. Hillenbrand is seeking a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering technology.

The PSLS is a statewide professional group devoted to the practice of land surveying. The organization considered several factors when choosing scholarship winners, including applicants’ academic record, activities, character references and statement of career goals.
