WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Four students are employed by Public Relations & Marketing at the Pennsylvania College of Technology are using their video editing and photography talents to help publicize Penn College people, programs and events.Kashiki E. Harrison, of Williamsport, and Jeffrey A. Stanley, of Stewartstown, are working as student video production assistants. Employed in a casual part-time capacity, they help the PRM video production team produce videos that are featured on the college’s website and YouTube channel, as well as public television.Harrison is enrolled in general studies. He serves as an events coordinator for the Wildcat Events Board, a student organization that works with the Student Activities Office to plan major events on campus. He joined the PRM staff in May.A Web and interactive media major, Stanley also joined the PRM staff in May. He began his work as an intern and was later hired as a student employee.Caleb G. Schirmer, of Sugarloaf, and Dalaney T. Vartenisian, of Trout Run, serve as student photographers.An applied management student, Schirmer earned an associate of applied science degree in landscape/horticulture technology: landscape emphasis in May 2014. He is president of the Off-Campus Housing Organization, a tutor in Penn College’s Writing Center, a leader with Campus Crusade for Christ, and vice president of Students Making a Contribution. Schirmer joined the PRM staff in March.Vartenisian is enrolled in Web and interactive media and has been a student photographer since May 2014.Working in a casual part-time capacity, the student photographers can be found around campus photographing people and events for PCToday (the college’s news and information website), college press releases, One College Avenue magazine, social media and various marketing materials.
