Pennsylvania College of Technology’s North Campus will offer a “Train the Trainer” certificate program developed for adults who are responsible for training staff in their place of work or for individuals seeking trainer positions.
Through the noncredit program, inexperienced trainers and seasoned professionals alike can learn interactive ways to reach adult participants.
In the 18-hour course, participants will discuss adult learning styles, methods of developing and presenting training with impact, classroom management, and communication techniques that can improve learning retention and guarantee success in the classroom. Methods for assessing training needs, as well as tools for evaluating the effectiveness of training, will be presented.
The classes will be offered at the North Campus – located on Route 6 between Wellsboro and Mansfield – from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays, Oct. 12 to Nov. 16. The cost is $389 and includes all course materials.
North Campus class offerings are presented through Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Penn College. Enrollment is limited; call soon to register for the class.
