Perspectives on Minority Business Development

Experts from across the country will join Samuel C. Thompson Jr., professor and Arthur Weiss Distinguished Faculty Scholar at Penn State Law in University Park, and event co-chair Sabrina Conyers, partner at McGuireWoods LLP, for a live discussion on minority business development. The event will include the perspectives of lawyers, an economist, a business school dean, a member of the clergy, tax policy experts, and entrepreneurs.
“Perspectives on Minority Business Development” will take place online from 4 to 6:45 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, Nov. 30. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required. Upon registration, you will receive an email confirmation with Zoom login information.
2.5 CLE credits are available to Pennsylvania attorneys who attend this event. Attorneys outside Pennsylvania should check that their state accepts Pennsylvania credit.
This event is connected to Thompson’s current course, Minority Business Development: The Lawyer’s Role in Helping Close the Minority-White Gap in Business Ownership. Currently being taught to Penn State Law in University Park students, the course is also available for free, online, to the general public.
