2026 Earth Hour on March 28

8:30 PM - 9:30 PM / March 28, 2026

From 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. on March 28, the Penn State EcoReps will host their annual Earth Hour celebration. The event will take place at Old Main on the University Park campus, where the lights will be turned off for the entire hour.

Earth Hour is a worldwide movement organized by the World Wildlife Fund to bring awareness to energy consumption and pollution on our planet. Penn State’s Old Main will join landmarks like Eiffel Tower, Sydney Opera House, and the Space Needle as the world observes Earth Hour.

There will be free snacks and hot cocoa, music, activities, a lantern display of pledges and much more.

Earth Hour pledges can be submitted at the Earth Hour pledge form.
