EnvironMentors Program hosting information sessions for undergraduate students and faculty
6:00 PM / October 01, 2025 - 7:00 PM / October 02, 2025
Penn State's EnvironMentors chapter invites undergraduate students and faculty to two online sessions on Oct. 1 and 2 that will provide information on how to get involved with the program.
Undergraduates looking for a chance to grow as leaders, strengthen their research skills, and give back to the community by becoming mentors may join the informational session at 6 p.m. on Oct. 1. Undergraduate mentors are paired with high school students to guide them through environmental and STEM research projects, while also receiving training, professional development, and valuable mentorship experience. Students will learn how they can make an impact while building skills for their own academic and career journeys.

The session for faculty interested in inspiring the next generation of scientists and environmental leaders as faculty mentors will be held at 6 p.m. on Oct. 2. This session will highlight program goals, expectations, and the unique opportunity to guide high school students through hands-on environmental and STEM research. Faculty mentors play a vital role in shaping student experiences, fostering curiosity, and building lasting community connections.
