Mark Evans is a British explorer, field guide, author and wilderness advocate whose work has taken him to the Arctic and the desert but has recently focused on Oman and the Arabian Peninsula. From camel trekking across the desert to kayaking the Omani coast, Evans’ work has focused on building cultural bridges and advocating for the oceans, ecosystems, and planet.
Evans' visit to Penn State Oct. 6-8 is being sponsored by Sustain Penn State; the Department of Recreation, Parks and Tourism Management (RPTM); College of Health and Human Development; Cooke Endowment; and Penn State Global.
Join for his keynote talk at 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, in 118 Katz Building and online. Preregistration here is required for online attendance. Following the in-person event there will be free refreshments in the lobby of the Katz building.
