UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Registration is now open for the 34th annual Graduate Exhibition, a showcase of musical performances, cutting-edge research, and visual arts presented by Penn State's graduate students.
The exhibition will open with musical performances at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 22, at the new Recital Hall and conclude on March 24, with poster and design presentations by graduate students, along with video and visual arts displays in the HUB-Robeson Center.
This year, graduate students whose research focuses on the design of a product, whether that be in a three-dimensional or digital space, will have the opportunity to participate in the newly created Design Option. Design work for this category could include a variety of products such as a three-dimensional object, a video game, computer-aided design (CAD), simulations, musical composition, or other design objects.
Registration closes Friday, Feb. 22
Awards will be given to those students whose presentations are judged best in the categories of arts and humanities, engineering, health and life sciences, performance, physical sciences and mathematics, social and behavioral sciences, and visual arts.
The Graduate Exhibition celebrates research and creative scholarship, in all its aspects, as an essential and exciting part of graduate education at Penn State. Established in 1986, the Graduate Exhibition places special emphasis on communicating research and creative endeavor to a general audience and offers unique opportunities for professional development by challenging graduate students to present their work in clear, comprehensible terms to people outside their fields.
