New guide curates COVID-19 related resources for researchers

Site focuses on Penn State research projects, clinical and medical information, and technical standards for medical technology.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State University Libraries has developed a curated guide to COVID-19 related resources for researchers, including ongoing research at Penn State.

A collaboration between the Libraries’ STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) experts at University Park and the Harrell Health Sciences Library at the Penn State College of Medicine, the guide focuses on Penn State research projects, clinical and medical information, and technical standards for medical technology.

“We wanted to increase awareness of these resources and open up the science surrounding COVID-19,” said John Meier, University Libraries head of STEM for engagement and outreach.

Among the resources compiled in the library guide — found at https://harrell.library.psu.edu/covid19 — are selected websites including the World Health Organization, PubMed and the National Institutes of Health’s National Center for Biotechnology Information. A separate tab contains resources specific to Penn State, including research being conducted by experts at the College of Medicine, Applied Research Laboratory and College of Information Sciences and Technology.

The guide is being continually updated as more information and resources become available. To suggest a new resource to include, send an email to Herref@pennstatehealth.psu.edu.
