Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute presents "Collaboration Across Disciplines" at its next Translational Science Seminar Series webinar from noon to 1 p.m. on Dec. 15.
Jessica Ericson and Winnie Adebayo will present the webinar. Both are part of a research project evaluating the public’s knowledge and acceptance of health messaging related to COVID-19, such as social distancing and stay-at-home orders. Ericson, a pediatric infectious disease specialist and the study principal investigator, and Adebayo, an assistant professor of nursing, are both scholars in the institute’s Early-Stage Investigator Training Program (KL2). The pair formed the collaboration through the training program.
In this seminar, Ericson and Adebayo will share lessons learned in forming a collaboration with each bringing different research interests. Ericson typically focuses on pediatric infectious disease, and Adebayo focuses on sexually transmitted infection testing.
The Translational Science Seminar Series: Bench to Bedside and Beyond encourages an engaged translational science workforce through panel discussions and practical application information.
