Ruth McDermott-Levy to speak on planetary and human health March 21

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Ruth McDermott-Levy, associate professor and director of the Center for Global and Public Health at Villanova University, will present a public lecture titled “Planetary Health: An Upstream Approach to Addressing the Needs of Patients and Communities” on March 21 at Penn State's University Park campus. The talk will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. in Foster Auditorium (102 Paterno Library).

McDermott-Levy will address planetary health as it relates to the health of patients and communities, the relationship between planetary health and environmental impacts on human health, and ways to improve health from an ecological perspective.

A reception with light refreshments will follow in 107 Memorial Lounge at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center.
