UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — A student-run booth at Eco-Action’s Earth Day Celebration on April 22 will explore gerrymandering and other challenges related to democracy and public policy though interactive games and activities.
The booth, called “The Gerrymanders’ Totally Fair Fun & Games,” will be hosted by student club Better Politics PSU at the Earth Day festival from 2-6 p.m. on the HUB-Robeson Center lawn. The interactive games were designed by students from the first-year honors course Rhetoric and Civic Life, who worked on the activities as part of a course project.
The event is free to the public and all ages are welcome. The Center for Democratic Deliberation, a center of excellence in the McCourtney Institute for Democracy, is sponsoring the project.
