UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Undergraduate students currently involved in research are invited to present their work at a poster session as part of the 2016 Undergraduate Exhibition, Penn State’s annual celebration of undergraduate student research and creative endeavors. Participation is open to students from all Penn State campuses.
The Undergraduate Exhibition poster sessions offer students the opportunity to showcase their research and gain experience communicating their findings to faculty and graduate student judges and to a general audience. Poster judging categories include the arts and humanities, engineering, health and life sciences, physical sciences, social and behavioral sciences, and course-based projects.
Monetary prizes are awarded to the top entries in each poster category, with the Gerard A. Hauser Award going to the entry judged to be the best overall. Other awards include the Phi Kappa Phi Peter T. Luckie Award for Outstanding Exhibit by a Junior and the University Libraries Award for Information Literacy.
Poster entries will be accepted through Friday, March 4. Visit undergradresearch.psu.edu to view poster guidelines and criteria and to submit an online entry form.
Students are also invited to submit a ROAR video, or Recording of Academic Research, that communicates their research in two to three minutes using any personal recording device. Monetary prizes will be awarded and select ROARs will be featured at the Undergraduate Exhibition. ROAR is sponsored by the Schreyer Honors College, the University Libraries, and the Office of Undergraduate Education. The submission deadline is Friday, March 25. Visit undergradresearch.psu.edu/exhibition/roar.cfm for more information.
