The Penn State University Libraries Department of Research Informatics and Publishing, in collaboration with the Institute for Computational and Data Sciences (ICDS) and the Office of the Associate CIO for Research, will present a series of free virtual seminars to assist researchers with shifting their research from onsite to offsite.
The “Enabling Remote Research” seminar series highlights various University services and infrastructure to support remote research, including best practices for digital security, data and visualization, data analytics, data modeling and transformation, citation management, and computing services.
“ICDS is pleased to partner on this initiative to provide comprehensive support of researcher capacity now and in future, less-turbulent times,” said Jenni Evans, professor of meteorology and atmospheric science and director of ICDS. “During this work-from-home time, the computational and data sciences communities have continued to conduct research without missing a beat. Part of the reason for this success is the sheer number of remote trainings such as this one, as well as other remote programming and support offered by units across the University.”
