UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State’s Schreyer Honors College is set to host its annual "Connect Networking and Career Day" from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, in the Forest Resources Building at University Park.
“This year, we are welcoming over 50 Scholar alumni who are traveling back to University Park to support our Scholars’ post-undergraduate efforts,” said Patrick Mather, dean of the Schreyer Honors College. “We are incredibly grateful for everyone in the Schreyer community who contributes to this event and helps us provide such a valuable resource to our Scholars.”
The conference is sponsored by the David S. Rocchino Family Foundation and is the Honors College’s largest career-focused event of the year. The Scholar Alumni Society Board provides additional support and facilitates the conference’s panel discussions.
Those attending will be able to participate in alumni panel discussions, hear presentations from a variety of graduates, and have opportunities to network throughout the day. The “Connect” conference provides Schreyer Scholars the space to interact with alumni while helping to formulate potential career questions or new areas of interest.
With many accomplished Scholar alumni attending the conference, participants will hear from experts working in a variety of fields, including law, marketing, medicine, psychology, computer science and more. The lineup of this year’s Scholar alumni panelists is available online so that attendees can plan their day out in advance of the event.
In addition to the alumni presentations and discussions, a photographer will be on-site to take complementary headshots. Schreyer Scholars are required to RSVP for "Connect" by Tuesday, March 19.
Due to the limited capacity of the event, Scholars are encouraged to RSVP as early as possible to ensure their spot. Questions about the event can be emailed to Schreyer’s career development team at SHCCareerDev@psu.edu.
