DUNMORE, Pa. — Penn State Scranton recently donated personal protective equipment (PPE) to two local hospitals, Geisinger Community Medical Center and Commonwealth Health Moses Taylor Hospital, to help them during the growing coronavirus pandemic.

Supplies donated included 6,650 pairs of gloves, 250 hospital gowns, 150 surgical masks, and 25 face shield masks. The items were gathered from the campus’ science and nursing program labs, since Penn State has moved to remote delivery of its courses for the remainder of the spring semester and these items will not be needed.
