UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Saturday and Sunday, May 10-11, will mark a time of transition at the Penn State Smeal College of Business as the college bids farewell to more than 2,000 graduates.
Penn State expects to award approximately 14,559 diplomas to students across the commonwealth.
Smeal’s undergraduate commencement ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 10, in the Bryce Jordan Center. Lori Koch, the CEO of DuPont and a 1997 Smeal graduate with degrees in finance and international business, will deliver the commencement address to the 1,611 undergraduates who are scheduled to graduate representing 10 majors:

- Management information systems: 79
- Corporate innovation and entrepreneurship: 67
- Risk management: 67
- Real estate: 32
- Actuarial science: 30
Smeal’s undergraduate processional will be led by student marshal Jake Musmanno, a marketing major with minors in information systems management and legal environment of business, who will graduate with a 4.0 GPA.
The Integrated Master of Accounting Program will hold a celebration at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the Business Building Atrium to honor 63 graduates.
At 4:30 p.m. Sunday, May 11, the J. Jeffrey and Ann Marie Fox Graduate School will hold commencement ceremonies for master’s candidates (in the Bryce Jordan Center) and doctoral candidates (in Pegula Ice Arena).
Smeal will graduate 96 students from the Penn State Online MBA program and 97 students will earn online specialty master’s degrees.
An additional 104 students will graduate from the residential MBA program, 40 will graduate from the Master of Finance program, 23 from the Master of Supply Chain Management program and nine from the Master’s in Real Estate Analysis and Development program.
Smeal’s Ph.D. program will celebrate three graduates.
Another 166 students will be awarded graduate certificates.
