Penn State Smeal recognizes excellence of staff members

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. –– The Penn State Smeal College of Business recognized the excellence of its staff members at the 2025 Smeal Staff Awards Ceremony held on May 27 at the Nittany Lion Inn.

Six staff members were awarded Outstanding Staff Awards:

  • Customer Service Award – Mandy Laub, administrative assistant in the Office of Undergraduate Education (UGE)
  • Leadership Award – Autumn Hanley, academic program coordinator in the Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems
  • Outstanding Staff Award – Tammy Whitehill, academic program coordinator in the Department of Accounting
  • RISE Above Award – Barb Porter, academic records coordinator in UGE
  • Staff Sustainability Award – JungEn Choi, academic adviser in UGE
  • DEIB Champion Award – Kelly Swigert, academic adviser in UGE

In addition, another 25 staff members were recognized for 5, 10, 15, 25 and 30 years of service to the college.

5 years of service

  • Emily Baxter, instructional designer in the eLearning Design and Innovation Group (eLDIG)

  • Casey Dubbs, office manager of the Business Career Center (BCC)
  • Timber Ebersole, academic adviser in PGP
  • Tom Hall, academic adviser in UGE
  • Amy Ilgen, administrative support assistant in UGE
  • Mandy Laub, administrative assistant in UGE
  • Olivia Lewis, director of Diversity Enhancement in Office of Diversity Enhancement Programs
  • Sarah Woodward, administrative assistant in the Department of Marketing

10 years of service

  • Dana Campolongo, education program associate in the Ph.D. Program
  • April Crawford, administrative support coordinator in UGE
  • Anne Louise Cropp, associate director of development communications in the Office of Development and Alumni Relations
  • Andy Elder, manager of public relations in the Office of Marketing and Strategic Communications
  • Brenda Fabian, director of graduate career services in the BCC
  • Alla Hatfield, academic advising manager in UGE
  • Apryl Hawn, instructional production specialist in eLDIG
  • Ellie Labrin, assistant director of the Strickler Office of International Programs
