UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Smeal College of Business recognizes outstanding graduating seniors each spring with four awards. The newest recipients were recently celebrated during a ceremony at the Bryce Jordan Center.
Earning a Nittany Lion statuette and a monetary award, students are rewarded for excelling during their time in the Smeal College of Business.
The four awards are listed below with descriptions of each and the recipient(s) for 2026:
Helen Eakin Eisenhower Award
Awarded to graduating seniors who have demonstrated scholarship, leadership, character and service to the Smeal College of Business:
- Palmer Moore, finance major with minors in international business and information systems management
The George Leland Leffler Scholarship
Awarded to an outstanding finance major:
- Jack McCormack, accounting and finance double major with a minor in information systems management
The John M. and Anne B. Stevens Academic Integrity Award
Awarded to a graduating seniors who demonstrate leadership and academic integrity by serving on a college committee, task force or in a leadership role, dedicated to upholding the Smeal Honor Code and to promoting a culture of academic integrity:
- Joseph Li, finance major with minors in mathematics and information systems management
- Samantha Matthes, accounting and finance double major and masters in accounting
- Rachel Meinert, accounting and supply chain management double major with a certificate in the Italian basic language program
Ralph H. Wherry Student Service Award
Awarded to graduating seniors who excelled in service to the college, have exhibited academic achievement and manifest the promise of a successful professional career:
- Hailey Greco, marketing major with a minor in legal environment of business
- Samuel Marhsall, finance major with a minor in statistics
- Samiyah McDuffie, accounting major with minor in information systems managements and masters in accounting
- Morgan Overman, finance and African studies double major with a minor in international business
- Frederica Roo, marketing major with a minor in entrepreneurship and digital innovation
- McKenna Schrenk, supply chain and information systems and accounting double major with minors in international business and information systems management
- Caleb Shuman, finance major with minors in information systems management and legal environment of business
- Monica Wang, accounting major with a minor in information systems and masters in accounting
