UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State community is invited to attend the online event, “Traversing a Universe of Data,” the University’s Data Summit.
This year’s conference will feature five distinct discussion tracks in addition to pre-conference Microsoft Power BI workshops and training. Tracks include Uses of Data and Data Literacy; Data Ethics, Security, and Privacy; Systems Technology (Tools and Approaches); Assessment, Evaluation, and Planning; and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Tracks will be featured throughout the agenda, allowing users to filter for the session content that best aligns with their chosen area of focus.
The conference will be divided into two half-day sessions held virtually from noon to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2, and noon to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3.
Presentation proposals for the summit tracks are being accepted for consideration through Dec. 1, 2021, and may be submitted via the Data Summit web page.
Leah Ewing Ross will be this year's keynote speaker. Ross is the associate deputy director at the Association for Institutional Research (AIR), where she leads AIR’s national research, scholarship and innovation agenda to effectively position institutional research and related fields within the changing landscape of higher education.
All sessions will be delivered via Zoom. Sessions will be recorded and available to view after the event.
Additional information about registration and breakout sessions will be announced soon.
