Dear Penn State DuBois faculty and staff colleagues,

We made it together to the end of the 2020 calendar year. This is something to celebrate!

During this holiday season, I want to express my appreciation for each of you and to thank you for all that you do for our campus and all of Penn State. Your special efforts are what helped our students to succeed during a year of unprecedented challenge. To be sure, each of you in your varied roles demonstrated a deep commitment and resilience that ensured that Penn State DuBois offers a first-class educational experience regardless of the circumstances.

To say that we would not be able to succeed without your herculean efforts   — especially during the current health pandemic — is the ultimate understatement. Our ability to manage our work-life balance has been challenged, as has our need for social interaction and engagement. Even with these significant disruptions, you have shined! We have a long road ahead of us before life returns to some version of normal. Nevertheless, this is the season for us to be grateful and appreciate for our blessings. I am most grateful to be working with each of you.

With enduring gratitude,

— M. Scott McBride, chancellor and chief academic officer, Penn State DuBois
