Chancellor Wafa: Thanks to all who rallied to move the University forward

As we come to the end of what has been a very challenging year for Penn State, our campus, and all of our students and employees, I would like to thank everyone at Penn State Scranton and the University who rallied over the summer and throughout the fall semester to provide critical support that was needed in order to allow our campus to continue functioning and provide needed services during the fall semester.

This feat would not have been possible without the contributions of everyone — from maintenance and food service to IT, who ensured we had the proper technology in place to provide both on-site and remote learning, to our campus departments who kept offices and facilities open, our faculty, and of course, our students, who were very cooperative and accepting of all the new rules that had to be put into place to provide a safe learning environment, from wearing masks to social distancing. We know it wasn’t easy, and at times, it was very challenging — but we made it through and had a successful fall semester.

Thanks to you and the tremendous efforts you made for Penn State.

THANK YOU!

— Marwan Wafa, Penn State Scranton chancellor
