The College of Education is pleased to announce the addition of Megan Houser to its human resources team, effective Oct. 12. She has filled a position left vacant by Angela Pope who left the college in June.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Penn State, Houser began working in the human resources field in a variety of capacities. Before joining the college, she served as a human resources specialist for West Pharmaceutical Services in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, where she was responsible for streamlining various human resources processes in order to enhance efficiency and improve employee relations.

“Since starting my HR career, it has been my desire to come back and work for my alma mater,” Houser said. “I am tremendously excited to become a part of the Penn State success story and look forward to getting to know the faculty and staff of the college, and providing excellent HR service.”

As the human resources consultant for the college, Houser will report directly to Jerry Henry, human resource strategic partner for the College of Education and the College of Arts and Architecture, and work with managers, supervisors and employees to provide guidance and advice. She will also provide support on a number of human resources functions within the college, including employee relations and recruitment, diversity and inclusion, organizational development, talent management, total rewards and compliance monitoring. She can be reached at mnb146@psu.edu.
