Coronavirus FAQ: If I have a positive Penn State test do I need to test again?

Students who have a positive test result on file in the “Know Your Status” portal from a University test, including Penn State’s fall departure testing or walk-up testing, do not need to complete pre-semester testing. However, undergraduate and graduate students who have completed walk-up testing on campus over the winter break or during the remote learning period still need to log in to the “Know Your Status” portal to make sure they have satisfied the testing requirement. Students also can upload a third-party positive test result from within the last 90 days for approval.

Students who have received a negative COVID-19 test at walk-up testing will need to order a test and complete required testing. Negative test results from other sources will not be accepted.

Additional information and step-by-step instructions on the testing timeline are available in this Penn State News story and on the Testing and Support page
