As we end the fall semester, I want to thank everyone at the University for their hard work. I know that we are constantly reminded about the uniqueness of the times we are living through, and they are indeed unique. While everyone is suffering dislocation and stress in our professional and personal lives, some of us also are dealing with the virus directly.
Yet through it all, we are researching, creating, teaching, and learning in new and challenging environments. We are not only managing to do our jobs but are often doing them exceedingly well. I am proud of our commitment to educating our students and managing to create, heal and care for others. So, thank you for your endurance and ability to face these challenges.
I wish everyone a peaceful, relaxing, and healing holiday season.
