UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — As part of a partnership with the Office of Human Resources, the University’s trainings on reporting child abuse and the Clery Act are now being offered through the new Learning Resource Network (LRN).
This system, powered by Cornerstone OnDemand, will serve as a replacement for Skillport, both the main and volunteer portals, which went offline on Aug. 19.
Employees with Penn State WebAccess accounts can access the system using single sign in at http://LRN.psu.edu. All others should follow the directions at http://compliancetraining.psu.edu. Those who previously had accounts in Skillport have already had an account created for them in the LRN and should use the “forgot password” link. All others must create a new account.
With the new system, employees will no longer have to seek out compliance training or keep track of when their required training is due. The LRN will utilize an automated feature to assign the required trainings to different categories of employees as appropriate. Once assigned, the training will be featured on the employee’s active transcript in the LRN, which will allow users to easily see which training they need to complete.
This feature will be debuted with the new sexual misconduct training scheduled to launch in early October, then will be implemented for the reporting child abuse and Clery trainings. Once this feature has been activated, employees who have not yet taken the required training for 2015 will receive an email from the LRN stating that the training has been assigned, followed by reminders to complete training as it becomes past due.
