Basic submission guidelines
-- Faculty, staff and students, and anyone with a Penn State email address, should submit their photos using this online form.
-- Alumni, friends and community members who do not have a Penn State email address should submit their photos as attachments to news@psu.edu, using the subject line "Penn State Today photo contest submission."
-- Limit submissions to one photo per contest, please.
-- Include a brief caption describing the contents of the photo (who, what, when and where). Our editors may contact you if more details are needed.
-- Include your name and affiliation with Penn State.
-- Using built-in filters and color adjustments is acceptable, but altering photos by adding or removing objects/elements is prohibited.
-- Submit photos only if they were taken by you. By submitting an image, you attest to your ownership of the image. You also agree that Penn State has the right and license to redistribute the image, royalty free, on its various communications channels, including but not limited to Penn State Today, Penn State News and various official social media platforms.
-- If your photo includes images of individuals other than yourself, by submitting the photo you attest the consent of the other subjects to be included in this contest, and potentially have their image shared broadly on Penn State platforms.
Image quality
-- Images should be high quality -- when in doubt, upload the largest version of the image as is possible.
Contest guidelines
-- Each photo contest will continue for about two weeks. Specific dates will be included with communications promoting each contest.
-- Penn State Today editors may follow up with individual photographers via email for additional details regarding any aspect of their submitted photos.
-- Penn State Today's editorial team will make final selections in each contest, and reserves the right to withhold any submission.
-- Winning submissions will be featured in Penn State Today and/or on other University communications platforms as appropriate.
-- Questions about the contest can be directed to news@psu.edu with "Penn State Today photo contest question" in the subject line.
-- Submissions that do not follow these guidelines will not be considered.

-- All entries should follow the guidelines outlined above.
