Penn State students, faculty and staff can keep up with the latest information from the University regarding the global coronavirus outbreak via a new website.

Visit https://sites.psu.edu/virusinfo for up-to-date information.

Penn State health and safety officials are closely monitoring a global outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a new strain of coronavirus that was first detected in Wuhan, China, and has since been detected in numerous other countries, including the United States.

At this time, there are no known cases of novel coronavirus at Penn State and no reports of the virus in Pennsylvania. As symptoms can be very similar to the flu, which is active across Pennsylvania at this time, Penn State health officials recommend that anyone with flu-like symptoms contact their health care provider for an evaluation.

This website will serve as the hub of information for members of the university community who have questions about the outbreak.
