UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — As part of our regular "We Are!" feature, we recognize four Penn Staters who have gone above and beyond what's asked of them in their work at the University. Do you know someone who deserves a shout-out? If you do, consider taking a minute to nominate that person by filling out a short online form.

This week, we'd like say thank you on behalf of the entire University community to:

Julie Cullings of Penn State Dickinson Law, whose nominator wrote: "The start of the year is already tough. Julie Cullings managed to plan, lead and execute all the student services events without a supervisor from April to August. She rose beyond her position duties to fill the gaps in leadership at Dickinson Law and did so with grace, humility and excellence."

Barbara Trainor of Penn State Hazleton, whose nominator wrote: "Seeing Barb is often the highlight of my day. She not only works diligently to make sure the Butler Building is clean and organized for all, but she also cares about others and encourages them with her genuine heart, warm demeanor and sense of humor. She is an irreplaceable asset to our campus!"

Ted Jaenicke, professor of agricultural economics, whose nominator wrote: "Thank you to Ted Jaenicke for being a great mentor to junior faculty and grad students. As a senior faculty member, Ted goes above and beyond to mentor junior faculty and offer sincere and thoughtful advice. He carries a lot of service responsibilities and does everything he can to make the department better."

Marty Rockey of Penn State Fleet Operations, whose nominator wrote: "I'm sending a shout out to Marty Rockey and the entire Penn State fleet team for their wonderful help in transporting my class to an off-campus location each week this semester. I really appreciate the team's responsiveness to our requests and the friendliness of all the drivers."

Thank you Julie Cullings, Barbara Trainor, Ted Jaenicke and Marty Rockey — and to everyone who helps make Penn State such an incredible community. We Are!
