Living on campus puts Penn State students in the heart of all the action, and provides the opportunity to build long-lasting friendships and discover new passions. Students interested in University Park campus housing are encouraged to participate in the contract process.
On-campus housing is very popular -- while we cannot guarantee your student will receive the housing option he or she is most interested in, based on previous years the majority of students receive some type of offer, including for supplemental housing.
Parents can visit the Housing website to learn more about the contract process. The eLiving Housing System opened for students to submit contract requests on Oct. 16. Parents can make sure their student doesn’t miss out on the opportunity by reminding them to request on-campus housing through eLiving.
If the Assignment Office is not able to accommodate every student who participates in the process, those students will automatically be placed on a Supplemental Housing Waitlist. While on the Waitlist, students can pursue the variety of off-campus living options in the State College area. The Office for Off-Campus Living will host a Housing Fair on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the HUB-Robeson Center.
