University response to antisemitism at demonstration

The University is aware of antisemitic speech and the display of a swastika at an event in State College organized by a student organization. We condemn the words and the horrific use of this symbol, which has long been a symbol of strong hate and is used to intimidate members of the Jewish faith. This kind of hate is antithetical to the values of our University and an affront to our commitment to fostering a safe and welcoming environment on campus for all.

We will continue to do all we can to prevent biased and hate-filled behavior in our community and will work together to promote a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for all members of our Penn State family. Anyone who experiences or witnesses bias on our campuses is strongly encouraged to report it online at https://equity.psu.edu/report-bias. Additional resources are available for all in our community in need.
