Upgraded WorkLion Portal launches today

As of today (Dec. 13), Penn State’s WorkLion Portal has a new designed layout. The WorkLion Portal is a self-service-based application where University employees can perform the following tasks: 

  • Submit questions to Human Resources (HR)
  • Research HR related information via the Knowledge Base
  • Review the latest employee news and announcements
  • Use links to other HR tools such as Workday and the Learning Resource Network

The new portal now provides a clean navigation, which can be found on the left side of the design, and leverages tiles for easier reference, as well as a more organized look and feel for finding information.  The new layout emphasizes self-service capabilities, with easy access to the Knowledge Base and articles to answer our employees’ questions, as well as a repository for information on Penn State’s HR policies and procedures. The portal provides a responsive search feature that will provide relevant content based on keywords. Finally, the upgrade also creates a user-friendly mobile experience.
