This week's top stories from across Penn State:

BOWL BOUND: Penn State rallied from behind to beat Wisconsin on Dec. 3 to capture the Big Ten championship and earn a berth in the Rose Bowl against the University of Southern California.

TITLE TOWN: With the Nittany Lion's victory over the Badgers in the 2016 Big Ten championship game, Penn State earned its 100th Big Ten championship or tournament title.

ASKED AND ANSWERED: University leaders are consistently looking for innovative ways to effectively communicate with faculty and staff. In a new weekly video series featured in Penn State Today tiled "Asked and Answered," Penn State leaders respond to your questions.

FLSA: Despite an injunction temporarily blocking new overtime rules outlined in the Department of Labor's Fair Labor Standards Act, Penn State has decided to move forward with implementing some of the revised regulations.

mHEALTH: To provide support for those dealing with mental illness, students in the Department of Biobehavioral Health and other majors created a concept for an app that encourages users to seek mental health help in a safe and confidential way.

VIRTUAL ACOUSTICS: Penn State researchers are using information technology to virtually recreate and study concert hall acoustics.

INSECTICIDE RISK: Neonicotinoids -- the most widely used class of insecticides -- significantly reduce populations of predatory insects when used as seed coatings, according to Penn State researchers. The team's research challenges the previously held belief that neonicotinoid seed coatings have little to no effect on predatory insect populations.
