BUDGET IMPASSE: As the state budget stalemate continues, Penn State is urging lawmakers to come to an agreement on the state budget.
VALUES AND CULTURE SURVEY: In a survey continuing through Oct. 24, University faculty, staff, technical service employees, administrators, students, postdoctoral scholars and fellows are receiving emails from an outside organization asking for their participation in the Penn State Values and Culture Survey.
TOBACCO-FREE: The Penn State Smoke Free/Tobacco Free Task Force, in an effort to enhance the health of the entire University community, has concluded its evaluation of options and is recommending to make Penn State a tobacco-free University.
GRAND MARSHAL: Penn State alumnus and retired NFL player John Urschel was named the grand marshal for this year's Homecoming.
NATIONAL COMING OUT WEEK: The LGBTQA Student Resource Center is celebrating National Coming Out Week with programs and events focused on gender identity and expression from Oct. 9-13.
50 FOR 50: Penn State Brandywine capped its 50th anniversary celebration with students, faculty, staff and alumni completing 50 community service projects in 50 hours.
TOWN HALL: At a town hall meeting on Sept. 27, Penn State leaders answered questions submitted by faculty and staff on a range of human resources-related topics, including health care, benefits, open enrollment and the WorkLion/Workday human resources management and payroll system.
TRAFFIC STUDY: The Office of Physical Plant is sponsoring a campus-wide pedestrian crossing study. The results of the study will be used in data-driven decision making for future sidewalk and road improvements.
