This week's top stories from across Penn State:

ENROLLMENT: Overall enrollment at Penn State is up slightly compared to a year ago, with the number of students at University Park seeing a small uptick and World Campus enrollment showing strong growth, according to an annual snapshot taken at the end of the sixth week of fall semester.

CLASS GIFT: Penn State's Class of 2016 has chosen to start their legacy by establishing an endowment to support the Center for Counseling and Psychological Service -- otherwise known as CAPS.

SIR PAUL'S FLAVOR: In honor of legendary musician Paul McCartney's first-ever performance on campus, the Penn State Berkey Creamery introduced a new flavor -- "Sir Paul Mcadamia" -- in the former Beatle's honor.

ANGEL TRANSITION: Penn State is preparing to transition from ANGEL to Canvas, a learning management system that offers students and faculty new ways to manage, navigate and access their courses online.

ALUMNI FELLOWS: Nineteen alumni will be honored Oct. 21 for their outstanding professional accomplishments and given the lifelong title of Alumni Fellow, the highest award given by the Penn State Alumni Association.

BENEFITS WEBINAR: A new webinar will help Penn State employees as they make their decisions for the 2016 Benefits Open Enrollment period.

GENDER PAY: A paper recently co-authored by Smeal College of Business faculty member Aparna Joshi reveals that women received smaller raises than men even when evaluations showed comparable levels of performance.

NEW KENSINGTON TAPESTRY: A tapestry owned by Penn State New Kensington will go on the auction block at Sotheby's on Oct. 17 in New York. Proceeds from the sale will be used to expand and preserve New Kensington's legacy in the arts.
