NO. 1 ONLINE: For the second year in a row, Penn State World Campus has been ranked No. 1 for the best online bachelor’s degree programs by U.S. News and World Report.

DIGGING DEEPER: Penn State President Eric Barron has begun "Digging Deeper." Barron, the University’s 18th president, is now blogging about what is happening at Penn State and beyond.

WINTER WEATHER: When severe weather strikes Penn State's University Park campus, individuals can stay informed of delays and cancellations by using Penn State's PSUAlert system, Facebook page, the News website and WPSU TV and radio. Other local television and radio stations also will inform the public.

MLK DAY: More than a celebration of the life of Martin Luther King Jr., Penn State’s 2016 commemoration of the civil rights leader is a call to action.

BEHREND INNOVATION COMMONS: Penn State Behrend's Innovation Commons — an idea laboratory, maker space, technology playground, legal office, marketing agency and entrepreneurs’ gathering spot rolled under one roof — has opened to support small businesses and startups.

NEW CHANCELLOR: Ralph Ford, former director of the School of Engineering and associate dean for industry and external relations at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has been named chancellor of the campus. 

NEW KENSINGTON REDEVELOPMENT: Penn State President Eric Barron presided over the beginning phase of Penn State New Kensington’s plan to revitalize downtown New Kensington 

RECORD KEEPER: From the world's biggest glass of iced tea to the largest challah bread ever, Penn State journalism alumnus Alex Angert is there to witness for the Guinness Book of World Records.
