Acacia fraternity placed on interim action; all social functions suspended

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — On April 11, Penn State Student Affairs placed Acacia fraternity on interim action while its Office of Student Conduct investigates an incident that occurred during an unregistered social event.

The interim action restricts Acacia from hosting any social functions while the investigation is ongoing. Acacia’s national organization has been notified and has suspended the Penn State chapter's charter until further notice.

The interim action is intended to minimize continued risks while a full investigation is conducted. Additional sanctions may result depending on the outcome of the University’s inquiry.
