UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Campus Recreation has released its updated mobile app, Penn State CRec. The app is a direct link to classes, programs, hours and the equipment and facility reservation portal.
The app includes a barcode ID feature, which allows for touchless entry into Campus Recreation facilities, as well as checking in for programs and reservations in our facilities, replacing the need to swipe an ID card. Due to COVID-19, Campus Recreation now requires all students reserve a time slot to workout. With the Penn State CRec app, students can reserve a time through their mobile device.
Available by searching “Penn State Campus Recreation” through iOS and Google, the Penn State CRec app houses all scheduling information for upcoming fitness classes, and a full daily schedule of program offerings. Students are able to add their favorite programs directly to their phone’s calendar. All Campus Recreation virtual programming options are also accessible within the Penn State CRec app.
By enabling push notifications, users will be able to stay up-to-date on important scheduling information and other various updates from Campus Recreation, such as facility closures or class changes. Students can opt-in to a specific area of interest, and notifications are easily added or changed based on user preferences.
Students are encouraged to download the Penn State CRec app for the latest information on Campus Recreation. For more information on all things Campus Recreation, click here.
