CRC offers peer group for students affected by the substance use of others

The Collegiate Recovery Community will hold "Friends & Family" drop-in discussion group

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) and Health Promotion and Wellness (HPW) now offer support meetings for Penn State students who have a friend or family member struggling with substance use.

Meetings will be held from 4:30-5:30 p.m. every Wednesday at 105 Pasquerilla Spiritual Center, located at the University Park campus.

“Friends & Family” is a drop-in peer support meeting for students who have been affected by another person’s substance use, including an overdose or alcohol poisoning.

The Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) is a resource for Penn State students who are in recovery from alcohol and other substances. Health Promotion and Wellness provides services and programs to help students learn about and develop healthy behaviors.

Parking validation is available for meeting attendees who park in the Nittany Deck next to Pasquerilla.
