UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State’s 2022 Fall Housing Fair will take place in Alumni Hall in the HUB-Robeson Center at University Park from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Oct. 9. No registration is needed.
A virtual fair will take place from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Oct. 13. Registration for the virtual fair is now open.
Information about on- and off-campus housing options at University Park will be available at both fairs. Attendees will be able to talk with University representatives, private vendors, government officials, and University and community resources about their options as they explore what best suits their needs.
Both fairs are open to anyone interested in housing near University Park, including students, parents, families, faculty and staff.
Students making a decision about where to live for the upcoming year can also visit https://studentaffairs.psu.edu/housing to learn about options, processes, and timelines for on-campus, off-campus, or within a sorority or fraternity community.
Students planning to move off-campus are encouraged to educate themselves on their rights and responsibilities when leasing before they sign a lease. Off-campus properties are privately owned and not associated with the University. Available resources to help students navigate living and moving off-campus include:
- Off-Campus Student Support, a unit of Student Affairs, manages a housing classifieds website with property listings, a roommate search function and informational resources.
- Student Legal Services, a unit of Student Affairs, offers free lease reviews.
- A new, collaboratively developed educational module is available on demand for students or their parents and families to learn more about the leasing process.
- The Solokov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center, a unit of Undergraduate Education, can help students develop a financial plan for living on- or off-campus.
