Financial support

Students who anticipate a need over winter break can reach out prior to the break to request assistance.

  • For one-time emergency assistance, Student Care and Advocacy offers financial support through its Student Emergency Fund. Students from any campus may apply for a grant, which typically does not exceed $500, from the fund at any time.
  • Student Affairs’ Guide to Public Assistance Programs gives information for resources and eligibility in the State College area and beyond. Staff are available to assist students in understanding their options and navigating applications.

Please note these offices will be closed from Dec. 18 to Jan. 2 and cannot process applications during that time.
