UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The theme for Penn State Homecoming 2023 will be "Illuminate the Lion Within," and the event will be held Oct. 8–14.
The Homecoming committee executive director recently revealed the theme during THON, the 46-hour dance marathon benefiting families facing childhood cancer.
“We all have a lion within — me, you, everyone here in the Bryce Jordan Center and beyond,” Homecoming Executive Director April Komal said. “The heart of a lion is inside every one of us. It’s up to you to determine how that lion shines through.”
The Homecoming Executive Committee designed the theme to reflect Penn State’s values and amplify its vision for the 104th anniversary of Penn State Homecoming.
Penn State Homecoming is a student-run organization that aims to celebrate tradition and instill pride in all members of the Penn State family through active engagement of students, alumni, faculty and staff across the community.
