Night of Remembrance to honor students lost during past year on April 25

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The annual Night of Remembrance vigil will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, in the Worship Hall of the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the University Park campus.

The vigil will honor and remember students who died during the 2023-24 academic year across all Penn State campuses. Students, community members and the families of honored students are invited to attend.

Thanks to a partnership with WPSU, the event will also be live streamed for those unable to attend in person. The livestream can be accessed online here

The candlelight service will provide an opportunity for reflection and remembrance. Anyone who would like to submit comments in honor of students who have passed may do so in advance.

Remarks for the ceremony will be accepted until Thursday, April 18. Remarks, including those submitted after the deadline, will be shared with the student families after the event.

The annual vigil is organized by Student Affairs and the University's four student governments: the University Park Undergraduate Association, the Graduate and Professional Student Association, the Council of Commonwealth Student Governments, and the World Campus Student Government Association.
