Penn State Campus Recreation offering fall Recreation Days at Stone Valley

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Campus Recreation at Penn State will offer Recreation Days at Stone Valley during weekends this fall. Students can register for complimentary shuttle services to Stone Valley and a variety of programs and classes available throughout September and October.

Activities include hiking, kayaking, stand-up paddling, high ropes courses, yoga and more, catering to a variety of skill levels. Those interested in enjoying Stone Valley also have the option of partaking in informal recreation offerings like hiking or cornhole or simply visiting to for a picnic or to enjoy the scenery.

Participants are advised to arrive prepared with a water bottle and any equipment for their chosen activities. Sunglasses and sunscreen are also recommended.

Campus Recreation, a unit in the division of Student Affairs, provides facilities and programs to support student, faculty, staff and community well-being. Stone Valley boasts over 20 miles of trails suitable for hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing, as well as Lake Perez for fishing and boating. Picnic areas and pavilions are also available for those seeking to enjoy nature.
