THON weekend 2023 to be held Feb. 17-19

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The THON 2023 Executive Committee has announced the dates for THON Weekend 2023, which is set to take place Feb.17-19.

Starting July 1, THON will kick off the 2023 fiscal year, which begins the yearlong fundraising effort for the organization's sole beneficiary, Four Diamonds.

The year-round effort culminates during THON Weekend, where select students will participate in a 46-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon. THON Weekend 2023 is set to be held in person, at the Bryce Jordan Center, and will be in accordance with all University COVID-19 mitigation protocols in place at the time of the event.

Penn State THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world in which thousands of volunteers are committed to enhancing the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer. THON is comprised of over 16,500 Penn State student volunteers who aim to provide emotional and financial support to Four Diamonds families, as well as to spread its mission and bring awareness to childhood cancer. Since its start in 1973, THON has raised over $200 million dollars to support Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital.
