UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State students interested in changing campuses to University Park are invited to attend Link UP, a daylong event designed to help them learn more about the transition process. This year, Link UP will take place on Saturday, March 22.

Registration is open now at changeofcampus.psu.edu and will close on March 18.

Link UP provides students the opportunity to gain insight into the change-of-campus experience, connect with their intended academic college and develop an understanding of the resources available to support a successful transition. First- and second-year students considering a campus change, as well as second-year students who have already been approved for a campus change in LionPATH, are encouraged to attend. Many campuses coordinate transportation for students to travel to University Park for the event.

Throughout the day, attendees will participate in a variety of sessions, including a University Park campus bus tour, informational presentations and a resource fair. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to engage with faculty, staff and peers who have previously changed their campus to University Park.

Events will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit changeofcampus.psu.edu for a full schedule.

Current University Park students can volunteer

Penn State students currently studying at University Park have the opportunity to volunteer and assist their peers in making a successful change of campus. Volunteer responsibilities include assisting with check-in, leading bus tours, answering questions and engaging with prospective students throughout the day.

Matthew Howard, fourth-year meteorology major and change-of-campus student from Penn State Scranton, is a former Link UP attendee and current volunteer.

“Link UP was a rite of passage into transitioning to University Park, and it also made me aware of what campus has to offer,” Howard said. “Volunteering with the event has allowed me to help students who were once in my footsteps.”

Students interested in volunteering for Link UP can sign up using the provided form. The deadline for volunteer registration is March 14.

Link UP is coordinated by Student Orientation and Transition Programs, which is part of Penn State Student Affairs and Penn State Undergraduate Education. For more information and to register, visit changeofcampus.psu.edu
